Anna and the French Kiss (2010) by Stephanie Perkins!

I absolutely loved this book! It was such a fun and romantic read. I loved the characters of Anna and Étienne, and their relationship was so sweet and adorable. I also loved the setting of Paris. It was so well-written and vivid, and I could really imagine myself there. This book made me laugh, smile, and even cry. It was just an all-around wonderful book, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic, feel-good read.

This book is one of the best young adult romance novels I have ever read. It is about a girl named Anna who is shipped off to a boarding school in Paris against her wishes. There, she meets a boy named Etienne St. Clair, who is everything she does not want in a boyfriend. He is a player, he is cocky, and he is French. Despite all of this, Anna falls madly in love with him.

The story is told exclusively from Anna’s point of view, which I thought was a nice touch. We get to see her insecurities and her struggles with fitting in and feeling like an outsider. We see her fall in love for the first time and we see her heart get broken. Stephanie Perkins does an amazing job of making the reader feel Anna’s emotions.

The romance in this book is so sweet and perfect. It’s not insta-love, but it’s the kind of love that sneaks up on you and takes over before you even realize it. I loved watching Anna and Etienne’s relationship grow and change over the course of the novel.

If I had to nitpick, I would say that the ending was a bit abrupt. I would have liked to see a little bit more of Anna and Etienne’s life after they graduated from high school. However, the epilogue was very sweet and it left me with a satisfied feeling.

Overall, I absolutely loved this book. It’s one of those rare books that I will definitely re-read someday. If you’re a fan of young adult romance, I highly recommend Anna and the French Kiss.
