Review: Golden Son (2015) by Pierce Brown

If you’re a fan of epic, sci-fi/fantasy stories, then you’ll love Golden Son by Pierce Brown. The novel follows the story of Darrow, a young man who’s been drafted into a war against the brutal, oppressive Society. Darrow is a tremendously talented and skilled fighter, and he quickly rises through the ranks of the rebel army. But as the war waged on, Darrow starts to question the ideology of the rebel leaders, and he wonders if the Society might actually be the better option.

Golden Son is an excellent novel, and it’s one of the best in the series. Brown does a great job of world-building, and the characters are all rich and complex. The action is non-stop, and the story is engaging and thought-provoking. I highly recommend this book to any fan of science fiction or fantasy.

Golden Son is the second book in the trilogy and it does not disappoint. Picking up where the first book left off, Darrow and the other Golds are still fighting against the Society. But as the war drags on, and they see more and more death and destruction, Darrow starts to question the rebel leaders and their ideology. Is the Society actually the better option? Golden Son is an excellent novel, and Piers Brown does a great job of world-building and creating complex, interesting characters. The action is non-stop and the story is engaging and thought-provoking. I highly recommend this book to any fan of science fiction or fantasy.

I really enjoyed the suspense andaction in Golden Son. it was nonstop and always had me on the edge of my seat. I also loved how much detail Pierce Brown went into. it really made the world come alive for me. I also enjoyed the various relationships between the characters.
I think my favourite part was the ending. it was so unexpected and left me wanting more. I can't wait to see what happens next in the series.
